Did you know that you can get FREE notary services when you need to sign important documents? I didn’t either…
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been setting up various entities as a part of our asset protection strategy. You can watch this video to see exactly what structures we set up here.
However, since we already own a sizable portfolio, creating the entities was just the first part. The second part was spending the time to transfer the title of these properties out of our personal names into the entities.
This required tons of coordination from various closing companies and attorney’s offices to prepare the documents we needed to make the big transfer.
When all was said and done, we had a small binder of documents that we needed to get notarized to make this transfer official. If we went to a regular notary (who usually charges between 15-25 per signature), we would have been out hundreds of dollars!
Instead, I found out that you can just go to your local bank and get documents notarized for free! We went to a local Chase branch to get our docs signed, but most banks offer this service as long as you have an account with the bank.
I hope you enjoyed this tip! We’ll definitely go back to the bank to notarize our docs when we close deals in the future!
