People often say, your network is your net worth. But is that always the case? Isn’t it possible to become incredibly wealthy by yourself without cooperating with other people? It might be possible in one case out of a million, but for the other 999,999 cases, networking is the key to success.

By showing up and participating in different networking events, charities, and groups, you expose yourself to people who can help you achieve your dreams. You’ll meet mentors who can guide you and fill in your knowledge gaps.

You’ll be able to meet people with specialized professions or meet with individuals who can connect you with professionals.

One example that I always give is that my first flip project was given to me by someone I saw every single month at a real estate investing meetup. If I didn’t show up, I wouldn’t have had access to the deal!

Many people come to our meetup events in San Jose because they don’t know what to do or how to start. By making connections at the meetups, these investors now own multiple properties because of what they learned at the event.

The beautiful thing about networking is that even though you may not have experience, you can still benefit just by showing up. You’ll start to make friends and connections with people that you can ask questions to once you’re ready to start your own venture. You might also get lucky and have a deal drop in your lap!
